Don't know if this will help, but do you have a copy of the International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education from Hanban? Here is a link: http://www.hanban.ca/bookstore/product_info.php?products_id=344&osCsid=6d6ebfd447a05b9038486a2be25e3e7...

Hey Jess,

Hi Jess,

Maybe this would be a good question for the whiteboard challenge wiki, but I was wondering if you know how to get smartboards to recognize Chinese characters as text the way it does with English letters?

HI Jess,
Are you in China yet? I remember that you said you were going over there for a few weeks, but not sure when you were leaving. I have just got my flip video and have been playing around with it today. So easy and it takes really clear videos (at least they look good on the computer screen). I also like the way it plays automatically with Windows Media player. Thanks for the advise.
By the way, will be on my way to China in three weeks. Will be taking a cruise on the Yangtze. Am really looking forward to it!!
Have a great time in China yourself. Hope to catch up later in the year.

Jess,
Thank you so much for your July17th email inviting me to take part.
Sorry for the late reply. I really like the idea of teachers of *different* languages exchanging model practice.

Thanks Jess. I appreciate it. I have been working hard on my blog to try to develop it as a student support tool, but it is so time consuming. My PSPL investigation is looking like having a very narrow focus now - I've had a few days off sick and with the German poetry competition last week, time's running away...

Hi Jess,
I am creating a blog as part of my PSP investigation. I have used edublogs and it is coming along okay. However, I am finding that if I go into google and search, it is not coming up. I was wondering how I can make it accessible to others who may be teaching Chinese interstate or overseas? I have checked out all the settings but perhaps edublogs is not the way to go?

Hey Jess. I've got my Flip and I'm only days away from an iPod. Just wanted to ask where you got the note-taking attachment (you know, the mic thing)? I can't seem to find it at the usual iPod stores.

Jess on Wednesday August 27 I have a meeting here at the Regioanl Office between 4.30-6.00 with the Italian teachers.
I wonder if through video conferencing, you might be able to spend 20 minutes or more depending on your time, on blogging.
Even just to explain what to do in a blog and how? Cheers Viv
